SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The 11
th-ranked Mules Cross Country team finished in second place at the Central Region meet on Saturday morning at Yankton Trail Park, while the Jennies finished in 17
th. With their top five finish, the Mules qualify for the NCAA-II Championships in Spokane, Wash. in two weeks.
Laban Sialo finished as runner-up for UCM in a 10K time of 31:23.40.
Tyler Stuber finished in fifth place in a time of 31:47.15, while
Adam Tredway was 13
th in a time of 32:12.90.
Ben Barrows came in 40
th place in a time of 33:09.41 and
Cameron Bogue was 55
th in 33:38.36.
Spencer Hudson was 61
st and
Austin Gott finished in 139
th. Sialo, Stuber and Tredway all earned All-Region honors with their Top 25 individual finishes.
Augustana (S.D.) captured the men's title with 37 points, while the Mules had 115. UCM edged Missouri Southern, who finished in third, by one point for the second straight race. Paul Yak of Augustana won the men's individual title in 31:13.99
Megan Glamann was the top finisher for the Jennies in 21st place earning All-Region honors in a 6K time of 21:58.57.
Courtney Klaty came in 37th place in a time of 22:28.36.
Allie Rexroat was 84th in a time of 23:17.07.
Alissa Keil finished in 139th place, while
Samantha Merritt and
Tia Smith were 163
rd and 165
th, respectively.
Haley Russell was 170
th.
Minnesota-Duluth captured the women's team championship with 72 points, while Jennifer Agnew of University of Mary won the individual title in a time of 20:26.57.
The Mules will compete at the NCAA-II Championships in Spokane, Wash. on Nov. 23.
