Biography

2011 • Junior: Appeared in 25 matches, starting one … Played in 45 of 118 sets on the year … Averaged 0.42 kills and 0.33 blocks per set … Earned the start against Azusa Pacific, recording three kills with a .500 hitting percentage, with a dig and three block assists … Scored 3.5 points in the win over Lindenwood, with three kills and a block assist … Against St. Edward’s, McCormick posted three kills on just four attempts, along with an assist and a block … Two kills and a 1.000 hitting percentage at Southwest Baptist … One of just 18 UCM athletes, and the only member of the Jennies’ volleyball team, to receive the MIAA Academic Excellence Award for posting a 4.0 cumulative GPA … McCormick was also a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

2009-2010 • At Arkansas: McCormick played her first two collegiate seasons at the University of Arkansas, coming out of Blue Valley North High from 2007-08 … A two-time Letterwinner under Head Coach Robert Pulliza … McCormick made the Athletic Director’s list (3.99-3.50) in the Spring of 2008 … Was an All-SEC Freshman Academic Team member in 2007-08, and made the All-SEC Academic Team in 2008. 

In High School: A standout at Blue Valley North High School where she was a two-time all-state all-Sunflower Team and all-East Kansas League selection under head coach Matt Allin … Guided BVN to a sub state championship and state runner-up finish in 2005 while setting a school record for most blocks in a season (130) … earned all-state tournament honors as a junior … She finished her volleyball career as the Mustangs top blocker with 342 blocks and was second in kills with 870 … She was also a solid server with 46 aces as a senior and 83 for her career, ranking fifth all-time for the Mustangs … She is a two-time All-Metro basketball player who holds several school records for the Mustangs. In addition, she helped the Mustangs to a Kansas 6A state basketball title and is the all-time leading scorer in school history.
