Cross Country: Competed in five meets for the Mules... Had a personal-best four-mile time of 21:10.2 at the SBU Bearcat Invitational (Sept. 5)... Had a 42nd-place finish at the Brian T. Simpson Invite (Oct. 11) with an 8k time of 27:54... Ran the 10k at the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships (Nov. 8) with a time of 34:46.7.
Indoor Track & Field: Ran in five meets for the Mules... Had a personal-best mile time of 4:17.57 at the Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic (Feb. 13), finishing in 16th-place... Was a member of the DMR team at the Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic (Feb. 13) that finished in sixth-place with a time of 10:01.93... Ran the mile at the MIAA Championships (Feb. 27) in 4:18.20, earning 13th-place.
Outdoor Track & Field: Competed in five meets for the Mules... Had a personal-best 3000m steeplechase time of 9:14.38 at the MIAA Championships (May 3), finishing in eighth place... Had an 11th-place finish in the 1500m at the MIAA Championships (May 1) with a time of 3:58.67... Had a third-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase at the UCM Mule Relays (April 9) with a time of 9:25.03.
2024-25
Cross Country: Ran in four meets for the Mules... Posted a personal-best four-mile time of 22:58.5 at the SBU Bearcat Cross Country Invite (Sept. 6), finishing in 86th-place... Had an 18th-place finish in the 8k at the Emporia State Invitational (Oct. 11) with a time of 28:38.3.
Indoor Track & Field: Competed in five meets for the Mules... Had a personal-best 3k time of 8:54.55 at the Pittsburg State Invitational (Feb. 1), finishing in 20th-place... Was a member of the DMR team that placed 10th at the MIAA Championships (Feb. 28) with a time of 10:33.7... Ran a 4:20.14 mile at the MIAA Championship (Feb. 28), earning 14th-place.
Outdoor Track & Field: Ran in five meets for the Mules... Had a fourth-place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 10:01.36 at the Southwest Baptist Invitational (March 27)... Finished fifth in the 1500m at the Pittsburg State University Tune-Up (April 17) with a time of 4:07.84... Had a sixth-place showing in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Kip Janvrin Open (April 24) with a time of 9:38.39.
2023-24
Cross Country: Competed in one meet for the Mules as a freshman... Ran the 8k at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival (Sept. 29) in 28:41.4... Earned the MIAA Academic Newcomer Award for his work in the classroom.
Indoor Track & Field: Ran in four meets for the Mules... Helped the DMR team that won the UCM Invitational (Jan. 19) with a time of 11:06.57... Finished the 800m run in 2:06.20 taking seventh place at the UCM Invitational (Jan. 19)... Helped the 4x400m relay team win the Friday Night Lights Last Chance Meet (Feb. 16) with a time of 3:41.58... Ran a season-best 4:29.63 mile run at the Friday Night Lights Last Chance Meet (Feb. 16) taking home fourth place.
Outdoor Track & Field: Competed in five meets for the Mules... Had a fourth place finish in the 3000m steeplechase at the PSU Tune-Up (April 20) with a season-best time of 9:59.91... Took seventh place in the 3000m steeplechase at the David Suenram Gorilla Classic (April 6) crossing the finish line in 10:18.27... Ran a season-best 800m in 2:00.46 at the UCM Mule Relays (April 12).
In High School: Mathis was a four-year letter winner for head coach Michael Shortino and the Titans.
Personal: Son of Mike and Carol Mathis... Majoring in construction management.
