• MIAA Academic Honor Roll (2016-17)

As a Sophomore: Played in 21 games with 17 starts, all at catcher … Hit .267 with 12 hits including five doubles and one triple … Drove in 10 runs and crossed the plate six times … Was a clutch hitter with a .458 average with runners on base and a .353 average with runners in scoring position … Had a three-hit game going 3-5 with a double and an RBI at Rockhurst (March 13) … Went 2-2 with a career-high three RBI, a double and a run vs. William Jewell (Feb. 27).

As a Redshirt Freshman: Appeared in seven games in his first season of competition in 2017, making four starts, all at catcher ... hit .125 with two RBI and one stolen base ... was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.

As a Freshman: Redshirted during the 2016 season ... named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.

In High School: A three-time All-AVCTL selection at catcher, including First Team honors in 2014 and 2015 while playing at Salina South High School for head coach Kris Meis ... was a two-time All-AVCTL Second Team honoree in wrestling and an honorable mention linebacker in football ... a three-year member of the Honor Roll.

Personal: Exercise Science major ... son of Lance and Tresha Hoover.
