• MIAA Academic Honor Roll (2018, 19, 20)

As a Redshirt Senior: Was enjoying a fantastic year as one of the Mules top relief pitchers ... Got into eight games, tied for the most on the club and threw 14.2 innings with a 1.82 ERA ... Shared the team lead in wins with four, pitching to a 4-0 record ... The Mules won all eight games Kuhlmann appeared in ... Had the lowest ERA of any pitcher with at least 10 innings pitched ... Started the year tossing three shutout innings in Houston against Colorado School of Mines (Feb. 2) ... Struck out a career-best seven batters and got the win throwing three scoreless innings against Mary (Feb. 16) ... Threw two or more innings in half of his appearances ... Held batters to a .179 average and was particularly tough on righties who hit just .174 ... Was the Mules best pitcher with runners on base, allowing just one hit in 28 at bats with a man on ... Averaged 11.66 strikeouts per nine innings ... Made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. 

As a Redshirt Junior: Pitched in 10 games making two starts ... Allowed earned runs in just two of his 10 appearances ... Went 1-0 with a 3.14 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 14.1 innings ... Struck out six batters in 3.2 innings in a start against Lindenwood (Apr. 13) ... Earned his first career win pitching 1.2 scoreless innings against Rockhurst (Mar. 13) ... Pitched to a 2.65 ERA in eight relief appearances ... Made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for the second straight season for his work in the classroom.

As a Junior: Redshirted during the 2018 season and did not compete … Made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.

Before UCM: Played for two years at Three Rivers Community College under head coach Stacey Burkey ... earned Region 16 Honorable Mention honors one season.

In High School: Was named First Team All-Conference one year ... also earned Second Team All-Metro honors ... helped his team win a conference and district title in 2015.

Personal: Son of John and Lisa Kuhlmann ... majoring in health studies and pre-physical therapy.
