No. 10 Jennies Soccer Rolls Past Southwest Minnesota State Sunday, 5-0

MANKATO, Minn. – No. 10-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies Soccer scored four goals in the first-half and never looked back en route to a 5-0 shutout victory over the Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs on Sunday, Sept. 6, at The Pitch in Mankato.

The Jennies (3-1) are scheduled to travel to Searcy, Ark., for a match at Harding (1-1-1) on Friday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m.

UCM netted all four of its first-half goals in a span of 11 minutes. Kate Ricker opened the scoring with her first goal of the season off an assist from Ryann Clark in the 11th minute before Mikayla Ernst doubled the advantage to 2-0 with her second goal of the season just three minutes later off an assist from Ricker.

Clark converted her second goal of 2026 to increase Central Missouri's lead to 3-0 via an assist from Aspen Patterson in the 17th minute, prior to freshman Habiba Lamrani scoring her first collegiate goal off an assist from Maryn Clement in the 22nd minute.

Emilee Person scored what proved to be the final goal of the match for UCM, controlling a feed from Clement and placing it in the back of the net for her first goal of 2026 in the 48th minute.

The match was called in the 75th minute due to lightning in the area.

Ricker and Clark each had a goal and an assist to pace UCM offensively in the contest.

The Jennies held the Mustangs (0-2-1) without a shot the entire match, outshooting SMSU, 30-0, including a 14-0 advantage in shots on goal.

Central Missouri goalkeepers Kristen Wright and Jamie Ricker teamed up to pick up UCM's third shutout of 2026 after each giving up zero goals in 75 minutes. Wright picked up the win to move to 3-1 on the season.
