WARRENSBURG, Mo.-- University of Central Missouri Jennies Golf fired a final round 21-over par 301 to finish in fourth at the MIAA Women's Golf Championship Wednesday, April 22, at Mules National Golf Club. The Jennies tallied a three-round, 54-hole score of 89-over par 929 (306-322-301) during the three-day tournament.
Nebraska Kearney claimed the team championship with a 907 (+67), while Washburn was second at 909 (+69), and No. 34 Rogers State was third at 923 (+83).
Hannah Mottert paced the Jennies on the leaderboard, tying for ninth with a total score of 229 (74,80,75) for 19-over par. Finishing in 20th was senior
Libby Green, who went 223 (78, 82, 73) for 23-over par.
Kiki Bruner went 24-over par, carding a score of 234 (76, 82, 76) to finish in 21st, and
Ansley Giesselmann went 25-over par, finishing in a tie for 23rd, carding a 235 (78,78,79).
Reece Nimmo, who entered as a substitute on Tuesday, posted a score of 159 (82, 77) for 19-over par in the final two rounds of the MIAA Championship.
The Jennies, who were ranked No. 7 in the latest NCAA-II Central Regional Rankings, will compete in the NCAA-II Central Region Tournament May 4-6 in St. Joseph, Mo., at St. Joseph Country Club.
