Central Missouri Bound for ITC Nationals, Bates Eyes Singles Title

GREEN BAY, Wis.  – The University of Central Missouri Jennies Bowling team is set to compete on the national stage this week at the 2026 Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC) and Intercollegiate Singles Championships (ISC), hosted in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from Tuesday, April 14, to Saturday, April 18, at The Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley.

The results and livestream (PPV) will be available on USA Bowling's website, www.Bowl.com.
The ISC, which dates back to the 1960s, features 24 of the nation's top collegiate bowlers competing for the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Collegiate Women's Individual National Championship. This marks the program's 17th championship appearance, following a ninth-place finish in 2025.

Singles Championship
Sophomore Haylee Bates will represent Central Missouri in the ISC field after qualifying by placing seventh at the sectional event in Addison, Ill., on March 13. Bates becomes the 10th player in program history to reach the national singles finals and the first since Amber (Gazverde) Goreham in 2001.
Competition begins Tuesday morning with six traditional games in the qualifying round, where total pinfall determines seeding. All competitors will then advance to bracket match play later that day, with the top eight seeds earning a first-round bye. Match play will follow a single-elimination, and a  three games format through Wednesday, with the final four advancing.

Team Championships
The Jennies earned their berth to the ITC Nationals following a fourth-place finish at the sectional tournament in Addison, Ill. UCM posted a 9-7 record across 64 Baker games, totaling 12,255 pins for a 191.48 average to secure one of four qualifying spots.

Team competition starts Thursday with Baker match play, where teams are seeded into a double-elimination bracket and compete in a best-of-seven format. Match play continues through Friday, with the final two teams advancing to the championship match scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at 11 a.m.
