MARYVILLE, Mo. – The University of Central Missouri Track & Field teams wrapped up the Northwest Missouri State Bearcat Invitational with strong results on Saturday, Feb. 7, inside Hughes Fieldhouse.
Distance
- Cooper Palmer finished third in the men's 3,000m run with a personal best and provisional time of 8:12.43. His time also beat his previous school record of 8:15.98, set last season.
- The Jennies had two top 10 finishers in the women's 600-yard run. Abigail Gillatt placed second with a personal best time of 1:29.09, while Cortney Knutson was fifth with a time of 1:31.28.
- Dayton Richardson and Yunus Altinay both had top 10 performances in the men's 600-yard run. Richardson was eighth with a personal best 1:13.21 while Altinay was 10th with a time of 1:13.48.
- Ty Lewis placed in the top 10 in the men's 800m run, finishing ninth with a time of 1:55.19.
Sprints/Hurdles
Jumps
- The Mules went 3-4 in the men's high jump. Zachary Proctor was third with a mark of 2.03m (6-08.00) while Wyatt Irwin was fourth with a mark of 1.98m (6-06.00).
- The Jennies had a pair of top 10 finishes in the women's high jump. Marah Klover was runner-up with a mark of 1.58m (5-02.25) while Theres Reindl was fourth at 1.58m (5-02.25).
- Myah Morris placed fourth in the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.37m (37-03.75).
- Lauren Welch was fifth in the women's long jump with a personal best mark of 5.42m (17-09.50).
- Landon Childs and Karter Kueser tied for sixth in the men's pole vault, clearing 4.68m (15-04.25).
Throws
- The Mules had two top 10 finishers in the men's weight throw. Landon Mason was third with a mark of 18.62m (61-01.25), and Shon Stark was eighth with a personal best mark of 17.50m (57-05.00).
- Briley Wishard placed sixth in the women's shot put with a mark of 13.13m (43-01.00).
Relays
The Mules and Jennies return to action Feb. 13-14 at the Arkansas Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., and the Pittsburg State Russ Jewett Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kan.
