INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Central Missouri Jennies Basketball Team is one of 10 teams listed in the first NCAA-II Central Regional Rankings released on Wednesday, Feb. 18, by the NCAA. The first rankings are listed in alphabetical order.

The Jennies are one of three MIAA women's basketball programs that appear in the first rankings. Fort Hays State and Washburn are also listed in the inaugural rankings.

The Central Region comprises teams from the MIAA, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), and the Great American Conference (GAC).

Beginning next Wednesday, Feb. 25, the NCAA will rank in order the top 10 teams in each region. Following the completion of conference postseason tournament play on Sunday, March 8, the top eight teams in the Central Region will earn a berth in the 64-team NCAA Division II National Tournament.
