SPRING, Texas – The No. 27 Jennies Golf team played in the final round of the Southern Invite on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the Cypresswood Golf Club. The Jennies went 30-over par in the final round, to card a 68-over 932 (304,310, 318) par in the tournament for 12th place.Â
No. 6 University of Texas-Tyler held the first-place spot after going 12-over par in the third round, totaling 882 (285, 297, 300). No. 2 Dallas Baptist went 15-over for a total of 896 (292, 301, 303). No. 18 St. Mary jumped into third place from fifth, carding a 907 (305, 305, 297) for 43-over par.Â
Libby Green tied in 28th, posting 14-over par for a total of 230 (72, 79, 79).
Hannah Mottert carded a 234 (77,78, 79) for 18-over par to finish in a tie at 42nd. Tying in 45th was
Kiki Bruner, finishing 19-over par, scoring a 235 (77,77,81). Freshman
Ansley Giesselmann totaled 236 (78,77, 81), going 20-over par in the first tournament.
Addy Davis bumped up four spots for 73rd after carding 251 (94,78, 79) for 35-over par.Â
The Jens are back in action at the Emerald Coast Classic in Destin, Fla., on Sunday, March 8th, to Tuesday, March 10th, at the Baytowne Golf Club.Â
