BETTENDORF, Iowa – No. 23-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies Bowling posted a second-place finish at the Augustana (Ill.) Viking Classic on Sunday, Feb. 15, at the TBK Family Entertainment Center.
The Jennies posted an overall record of 5-3 during the two-day tournament.
UCM went 2-2 in its four traditional matches on Saturday, defeating Edgewood University, 850-669, and Aurora, 929-843, and falling to host Augustana College, 875-830, and No. 19 Valparaiso, 1,010-962.
Sunday, in the Baker format, the Jennies posted a 3-1 record, tallying wins over Carroll University (999-887), Lewis University (976-859), and Carthage College (966-857), while dropping a contest against Quincy (930-894).
Central Missouri fell to No. 19 Valparaiso in the Championship match, 4-2.
Camryn Cramer led the Jennies individually, earning All-Tournament team honors after placing fifth with a pinfall total of 951 and an average of 190.2 in five games.
Ava Butt of Carroll University captured the individual title with an average of 201.2 in five games.
UCM is scheduled to return to the lanes Feb. 27 through March 1 at the TNBA Invitational in Baton Rouge, La.
