WARRENSBURG, Mo – Reese Schaaf and
Taylor Weishaar each tallied double-doubles, and
Rylee Vierthaler and
Makenzie Farmer both had career-highs helping Central Missouri Jennies Basketball take down the Arkansas-Fort Smith Lions, 95-47, on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 14, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.
The Jennies (19-5, 13-2 MIAA), who have now won seven straight games, are scheduled to travel to Claremore, Okla., for a MIAA game at Rogers State (9-15, 6-9 MIAA) on Thursday, Feb. 19.
UCM outscored UAFS, 20-5, in the first quarter and never looked back, leading from start to finish in the 48-point victory.
Schaaf went 8-of-16 from the field and 6-of-6 at the free-throw line for her team-high 22 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for her 12th double-double of the season, while Weishaar was 5-of-6 from the field and 6-of-7 at the free-throw line for 17 points and added 13 rebounds for her sixth double-double of 2025-26.
Vierthaler scored a career-best 21 points on 10-for-11 shooting from the field, and Farmer notched a career-high 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor, including a 3-of-5 performance from three-point range, and a 3-of-3 showing at the foul line, and
Jolie Bonderer dished out a game and career-high five assists, rounding out the Central Missouri leaders.
For the game, UCM shot a season-high 57 percent from the field (35-of-61) and were 35 percent from three-point range (7-of-20). The Jennies made 18 out of 21 free throws for 86 percent, and outrebounded UAFS, 52-19. UCM also dominated the paint, outscoring the Lions, 54-26.
Marie Rose Priscilla Wemba had 12 points, pacing Arkansas-Fort Smith (4-20, 3-12 MIAA).
