KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Mules basketball freshman guard
Lazerek Houston has been named to the 2026 Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List, announced on Thursday, Jan. 15, by the Small College Basketball National Awards Committee.
Houston, a native of Lincoln, Neb. ranks top-five in the nation in three offensive categories, including field goals made (134), points scored (374), and assists (99) while leading the Mules with four double-double performances on the year.
Through 19 games, Lazerek is averaging 19.7 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game, highlighted by three 30-point outings, while being the lone freshman featured and one of eight players from the MIAA on the list.
Central Missouri continues MIAA play Saturday, Jan. 17, as they take on the Emporia State Hornets with tip-off slated for 3:30 p.m. inside White Auditorium in Emporia, Kan.
