Corinth, Texas – The Central Missouri Jennies Golf Team took sixth after the final round of the DBU Classic on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the Oakmont Country Club.
The No. 10-ranked Jens went 587 (295) for 11-over par, going 292 for 4-over par in the final round. Eight of the 15 teams at the Classic are in the WGCA preseason rankings.
No. 1 Dallas Baptist took the first spot with a 566 (284, 282) for 10-under par. No. 17 University of Texas Tyler took the runner-up spot, scoring a 576 (292, 284) for even par. Rogers State and Midwestern State tied for third, scoring a 583 (+7). Rogers State went 292 and 284, and Midwestern State went 245 and 289 during the 36-hole tournament.
Senior
Mia Rallo led UCM, finishing in ninth place, totaling 1-under par for a total score of 143 (69, 74). DBU's Madison Ude won the tournament after scoring a 135 (68, 67) for 9-under par.
Madolyn Kost (72, 73) and
Libby Green (76, 69) tied for 14th, going 1-over par for a score of 145.
Kiki Bruner finished tied for 65th after tallying a 76 for a total score of 154 (78, 76) for 10-over par.
Ansley Giesselmann rounded out the Jennies, finishing the tournament 14-over par, scoring a 158 (82,76) to tie for 73rd.
The Jennies will be back in action at the Grace Shin Invitational from Oct. 6-7 at the Golf Club of Edmond in Edmond, Okla.
