MANHATTAN, Kan. – Addison Throckmorton,
Aiden Smith and
Wyatt Irwin all had NCAA-II provisional performances to highlight UCM Track & Field action at the Ward Haylett Invitational Friday, May 9, at R.V. Christian Track on the Kansas State University campus.
Throws
- Throckmorton won the women's javelin with a provisional mark of 47.72m (156-7) while Karsyn Kanzler and Ally Fox also finished in the top five. Kanzler was fourth with a mark of 40.87m (134-1) and Fox was fifth with a mark of 40.47m (132-9).
- Smith finished second in the men's javelin with a provisional mark of 59.51m (195-3).
Jumps
- Irwin finished second in the men's high jump with a personal-best and provisional mark of 2.12m (6-11.50). His mark is ninth-best in outdoor school history. Zachary Proctor also had a top-five finish in the high jump, placing forth with an outdoor personal-best mark of 2.04m (6-08.25).
- Marissa Austene placed third in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.68m (18-07.75).
- Myah Morris finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 11.40m (37-5).
Sprints/Hurdles
- Brayden Blackman and Connor McKee both posted top-five performances in the men's 400m hurdles. Blackman was third with a time of 53.34 while McKee was fifth with a time of 54.16.
- Brooklynn Holtman and Emily Meeks competed in the women's 100m dash, compiling two, top four finishes. Holtman was third with a time of 12.13 while Meeks was fourth with a time of 12.20. Holtman and Meeks also ran in the 200m dash, with Holtman placing third with a time of 24.51 and Meeks forth with a time of 25.17.
- Jentry Acklin finished third in the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 14.87.
Distance
- Evan Finger posted a personal-best time of 1:53.41 and was the top finishing Division II student-athlete in the men's 800m run, placing 11th.
The Mules & Jennies will conclude their regular season slate with the Loper Twilight Saturday, May 10, in Kearney, Neb.
