WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The University of Central Missouri Board of Governors have approved the plans to improve the kitchen and patio areas of Traditions Restaurant at Mules National Golf Club, it was announced Thursday, May 29.

The new renovations, which are scheduled to begin on Monday, June 9, will expand the existing kitchen space while also adding a new conference and four-season room to the patio space.

In addition, the renovations will add new and updated kitchen equipment, enhancing menu offerings. The conference room and four-season space will provide small and medium group meeting space that can be utilized year-round for events. Also, the restaurant and bar will be renovated, modernizing the space and creating a UCM-themed atmosphere along with new furniture, carpet, paint and decorations, and an upgraded audio-visual system.

"It's an exciting time at Mules National Golf Club. In a competitive golf and restaurant industry, like college athletics, innovation and improvement are key to staying relevant," UCM Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Matt Howdeshell said. "We are thrilled to partner with Sodexo to expand the kitchen at Traditions, enhance the kitchen equipment, and the dining facilities for our members and guests. In this renovation project, the entire guest experience will be elevated."

During the renovations, Traditions will operate with a modified food menu and schedule beginning Thursday, June 5, through the project completion date of  Thursday, October 16.  The modified food menu will consist of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, brats, chips, fruit/granola bars and all candy available for purchase at the bar.
