WARRENSBURG, Mo. – University of Central Missouri track & field posted numerous personal bests and several provisional marks, in addition to a school record, Friday, April 11, at the Outdoor Mule Relays at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field.
Throws
- Addison Throckmorton won the women's javelin and bested her school record mark with a new provisional and personal-best mark of 51.25m (168-2). Ally Fox was third with a personal-best and provisional mark of 47.58m (156-1). Fox's mark ranks second-best in school history. Karsyn Kanzler also finished in the top five, placing fourth with a provisional mark of 44.22m (145-1).
- Rachael Molloy finished runner-up in the women's hammer throw with a provisional mark of 57.90m (189-12).
- Landon Mason placed third in the men's hammer with a provisional and personal-best mark of 58.23m (191-1). Mason also competed in the discus, placing third with a personal-best and provisional mark of 53.45m (175-5). His discus mark is eighth best in school history.
- Marley Sands finished fourth in the women's discus with a personal-best mark of 44.47m (145-11).
Distance
- Bryan O'Barr placed second in the men's 3,000m steeplechase with a personal-best time of 9:21.09. Colton Palmer also posted a top five finish, placing fifth with a personal-best 9:32.77.
Sprints/Hurdles
- Parker Wormek and Jentry Acklin both placed in the top five in the men's 110m hurdles. Wormek won the event with a provisional time of 14.03 while Acklin was fourth with a time of 14.62. Wormek's time is 10th fastest in NCAA-II so far this season.
- The Mules placed first and second in the men's 400m dash. Connor McKee won the event with a time of 53.28 while Brayden Blackman was second with a time of 53.43.
- Ariel Kerr finished runner-up in the men's 100m dash with a time of 10.57.
- Brooklynn Holtman placed fourth in the women's 400m dash with a time of 55.78.
Jumps
- The Jennies had a pair of top five finishes in the women's pole vault. Haley Sexton was second with a personal-best mark of 3.70m (12-01.50), which ranks sixth best in outdoor school history, while Kaira Mannio was third, tying her personal-best mark of 3.45m (11-03.75).
- Jeremy Bennett placed second in the men's long jump with a personal-best mark of 7.05m (23-01.75).
- The Jennies went 2-3-4 in the women's long jump. Phebe Thompson was runner-up with a mark of 5.67m (18-07.25) while Marissa Austene was third with a mark of 5.65m (18-06.50) and Mellanie Nellmer was fourth with a mark of 5.49m (18-0.25).
- Zachary Proctor and Wyatt Irwin both finished in the top five of the men's high jump. Proctor tied for second at 2.01m (6-07.00) while Irwin tied for fourth at 1.96m (6-05.00).
- Therese Reindl tied for third in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.58m (5-02.25).
- Myah Morris placed third in the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.43m (37-06.00).
Relays
The Mules & Jennies are scheduled to return to action April 17-19 at the Kansas Relays in Lawrence, Kan., and April 19 at the Pittsburg State Tune Up meet in Pittsburg, Kan.
