MARYVILLE, Mo. – Mellanie Nellmer won the MIAA Indoor Conference Championship in the women's long jump to highlight the second day of action for UCM track & field and the 2025 MIAA Indoor Championships Saturday, March 1, inside Hughes Fieldhouse on the Northwest Missouri State campus.
Jumps
- Nellmer, a junior from Stockholm, Sweden, captured the conference crown in the long jump after posting a provisional, personal-best and facility record mark of 6.04m (19-09.75) on her fifth attempt. Her mark ranks second-best in indoor school history and sixth-best in NCAA-II this season.
- Phebe Thompson posted a top five performance in the women's long jump, placing fifth with a provisional and personal-best mark of 5.75m (18-10.50).
Distance
- Cooper Palmer finished on the podium in the men's 5,000m run, placing third with a personal-best time of 14:24.63. His time is fourth-fastest in school history.
Throws
- Rachael Molloy placed fourth in the women's weight throw with a provisional mark of 19.04m (62-05.75).
Prelims (All finals will take place Sunday)
- Parker Wormek ran a provisional time of 7.83 to finish second in the prelims and qualify for the men's 60m hurdles final.
- Rawley Chard qualified for the men's 200m dash final after placing fifth in the prelims with a provisional time of 21.37.
- Brooklynn Holtman and Emily Meeks both qualified for the women's 200m dash final. Holtman ran a provisional time of 24.28 to finish fifth in the prelims while Meeks posted a provisional and personal-best time of 24.55 to place eighth. Meek's time is second-fastest in indoor school history.
- Isaak Rasche punched his ticket to the men's 600-yard run final after placing seventh in the prelims with a time of 1:12.00.
- Ariel Kerr ran a provisional and personal-best tying time of 6.77 to finish eighth in the prelims of the men's 60m dash, advancing him to the final.
The Mules & Jennies will wrap up competition in the MIAA Indoor Championships on Sunday, March 2, in Maryville.
