UCM Track & Field Wraps Up Regular Season Indoor Slate at Northwest Missouri State Last Chance Meet

MARYVILLE, Mo. – The University of Central Missouri track & field teams wrapped up its 2024-25 indoor regular season with several notable performances at the Northwest Missouri State Last Chance Meet Saturday, Feb. 22, inside Hughes Fieldhouse.

Sprints/Hurdles
  • Ariel Kerr ran a provisional and personal-best time of 6.77 to win the men's 60m dash. His time ranks fourth-fastest in school history. Jackson Carter was second with a personal-best 6.90, rounding out the Mules in the top five.
  • The Mules went 2-3 in the men's 60m hurdles. Jentry Acklin was runner-up with a time of 8.35 while Jesus Flores was third with a personal-best time of 8.82.
  • The Jennies placed 2-3-4 in the women's 60m hurdles. Joey Hettinger was second with a personal-best time of 9.36, Myah Morries was third with a personal-best 9.48 and Jazmin Corbin was fourth with a personal-best 9.71.
  • Kylee Terry won the women's 200m dash with a time of 25.73 while Hailey Patterson also finished in the top five, placing fifth with a personal-best time of 26.85.
  • Anayla Waters won the women's 400m dash with a time of 58.47.
  • Michael James posted a top five performance in the men's 400m dash with a time of 50.16.
  • The Jennies took first and second in the women's 600-yard run. Courtney Knutson was first with a time of 1:34.14 and Ella Jett was runner-up with a time of 1:37.06.
  • Tyler Venenga placed fourth in the men's 600-yard run with a personal-best time of 1:15.31.
Distance
  • Cooper Palmer placed in the top five of the men's 3,000m run, finishing fifth with a personal-best time of 8:19.44.
  • Abigael Kimurgor finished in the top three of the women's 3,000m run with a time of 11:06.73.
Jumps
  • Phebe Thompson won the women's long jump with a personal-best mark of 5.56m (18-03.00). Brooklyn Anderson also posted a top-five performance in the long jump, placing fourth with a personal-best 4.95m (16-03.00).
  • The Mules had three top five performances in the men's long jump. Evan Gosnell was runner-up with a personal-best 6.76m (22-02.25), Jeremy Bennett was third with a mark of 6.69m (21-11.50) and Keaton Stone was fourth with a mark of 6.50m (21-04.00).
Throws
  • Rachael Molloy won the women's weight throw with a provisional mark of 18.86m (61-10.50).
  • Three Mules finished in the top three in the men's shot put. Ryan Jones was runner-up with a personal-best mark of 15.86m (52-0.5), Demarcus Kelow was third with a mark of 15.20m (49-10.50), and Jackson Rooney was fourth with a personal-best 14.17m (46-06.00).
  • The Mules swept the top four spots in the men's weight throw. Kelow won the event with a mark of 16.96m (55-07.75), Landon Mason was second with a mark of 16.94m (55-07.00), Shon Stark was third with a mark of 15.87m (52-01.00), and Rooney was fourth with a personal-best mark of 14.36m (47-1.50).
The Mules & Jennies are slated to compete in the 2025 MIAA Indoor Championships Feb. 28 through March 2 in Maryville, Mo.
