WARRENSBURG, Mo. – A strong fourth quarter lifted Central Missouri Jennies basketball to a 66-57 victory over the Rogers State Hillcats in a MIAA game played Thursday evening, Feb. 20, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.
The Jennies (15-12, 7-9 MIAA) are slated to host Central Oklahoma (7-18, 6-10 MIAA) for their final home game of the season Saturday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m. Saturday's game will also be Senior Day and UCM Athletic Hall of Fame Day.
Leading 46-44 after three quarters, Central Missouri outscored Rogers State, 20-13, in the fourth quarter to secure its 15th win of the 2024-25 season.
Freshman
Taylor Weishaar tied her career-high with 25 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field and a 7-of-10 performance at the free-throw line and added eight rebounds and two blocks while
Reese Schaaf posted her team and MIAA-best 14th double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds, and
Lauren Frost chipped in 11 points and dished out five assists, leading the Jennies in the victory.
For the game, Central Missouri went 23-of-54 from the floor for 43 percent and were 15-of-24 at the free-throw line for 63 percent. UCM outrebounded Rogers State (7-18, 1-15 MIAA), 40-35, and outscored the Hillcats in the paint, 28-26.
Ella Hafer compiled 16 points and Kate Melton added 14 points to pace Rogers State.
