GLASGOW, Mo. – Central Missouri Jennies Bowling closed the fall slate on a high note Saturday, winning the Mid-Missouri Invitational with a dominant 4,114 total pinfall in the one-day, five-game event.
The Jennies posted a 3-0 match record, including two unopposed contests, and outpaced second-place Cottey College by more than 600 pins. Cottey finished with 3,448 on challenging scoring conditions throughout the day.
UCM opened with an 831 in Game 1 (unopposed) and followed with a 772–734 win over Cottey. The Jennies continued to roll past Central Methodist in Game 3, 875–684, before adding an 845 (unopposed) in Game 4. UCM closed the day with a 791–656 victory over Cottey in the final match.
Freshman Giana Nichols led the Jennies and won the Tournament All-Events title with an 897 total. Sophomore Haylee Bates finished second overall with an 882, followed by freshman Myranda Rogers in third with an 827. Bates and Rogers also earned spots on the All-Tournament Team. Freshman Bailey Kinkelaar led the Jennies' sub-varsity squad with an 866.
UCM finished the fall portion of the regular season with an overall record of 42-13 and earned two tournament wins and two second-place finishes.
The Jennies return to action on Saturday, Jan. 10, when they host the Mid-Missouri Challenge in Warrensburg, Mo.
