WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Third-seeded University of Central Missouri Jennies Soccer was eliminated from the 2025 MIAA Women's Soccer Tournament after losing to the sixth-seeded Central Oklahoma Bronchos, 2-1, in the tournament quarterfinals on a cool Sunday afternoon, Nov. 9, at the South Recreation Complex.
The Jennies (10-5-4) will now have to wait to see if they'll earn an at-large bid for the NCAA-II Women's Soccer Central Regional Tournament. The tournament selection show is slated for Monday, Nov. 17, on NCAA.com.
UCM's lone goal of the game occurred in the 34th minute when the Bronchos deflected a clearance attempt in front of the goal into the back of the net for an own goal, giving Central Missouri the 1-0 lead.
The advantage was short-lived, however, as UCO's Sophia Gaskins pulled Central Oklahoma level, 1-1, seven minutes later with a goal in the 41st minute.
The Bronchos' Rebekah George netted what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 66th minute.
For the match, Central Oklahoma (9-5-5) outshot Central Missouri, 14-6, including a 7-1 advantage in shots on goal. The Jennies bested the Bronchos in corner kicks, 9-1.
