BEMIDJI, Minn. – Izzy Joyce netted a goal in the 98th minute to lift No. 7 seed Central Missouri Jennies Soccer to a 1-0, overtime victory over the No. 2 seed Bemidji State Beavers in the first round of the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Central Regional on Friday, Nov. 21, at Chet Anderson Stadium on the Bemidji State University campus.
The Jennies (11-5-4) advance to the second round of the regional with the win and will face No. 3 seed St. Cloud State (15-2-5) on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. in Bemidji, Minn.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the 90 minutes of regulation action, forcing the match into a 10-minute, golden-goal overtime period.
Joyce, a sophomore from Lenexa, Kan., slid a pass from
Mikayla Ernst just inside the left post of the goal from close range with two minutes remaining in overtime to send Central Missouri to the second round. It was Joyce's fourth goal and Ernst's sixth assist of the season. Â

Kristen Wright (11-5-4) earned her ninth shutout of the season after going the full 98 minutes between the posts and allowing no goals while making five saves.
For the match, the Beavers (14-3-4) outshot the Jennies, 7-4, including a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal.
