  • (Receiving Votes) Central Missouri volleyball continues the 2025 season with three matches this week, beginning Tuesday, Nov. 4, against the Drury Panthers at 6:00 p.m. inside the O'Reilly Event Center in Springfield.   
  • The Jens continue MIAA play with a pair of matches beginning Friday, Nov. 7, as they host No. 20 Missouri Western at 6:00 p.m., for Teachers in the Bleachers Night, before taking on the Northwest Missouri Bearcats Saturday, Nov. 8, for our annual Black Out Match. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. from Dr. Peggy Martin Court, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.
  • During Teachers in the Bleachers Night on Friday against the Griffons, the first 100 students in attendance will receive a free t-shirt, courtesy of UCM Athletics.
  • UCM went 1-1 last week, falling to No. 7 Central Oklahoma in four sets, before completing their 10th sweep of the season over Arkansas-Fort Smith (25-15, 28-26, 25-20) Saturday, Nov. 1, from Dr. Peggy Martin Court inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.
  • Redshirt senior Grace Winkelmann has collected 1,791 career digs for the Jens, ranking her sixth in program history, trailing Kylie Holen's (2015-18) mark of 1,996.  
 
How to Watch
  • Tuesday's match against the Panthers will be available on a pay-per-view basis through the GLVC Network. Coverage begins at 6:00 p.m. inside the O'Reilly Family Events Center in Springfield, Mo.
  • Both home matches will be available on a pay-per-view basis through the MIAA Network. Coverage begins at 6:00 p.m. Friday night and 7:00 p.m. Saturday from Dr. Peggy Martin Court inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.  
Meet the Jens
  • Central Missouri returns 14 players from last year's squad while adding six newcomers, including two transfers and four freshmen.
  • Setter Shelbi Wilson spent the previous two seasons playing for Hutchinson CC (Kan.) while redshirt junior Kaelyn McDonald transferred from MIAA foe Arkansas-Fort Smith.
  • Defensive specialist/libero Ragin Corwin (Blue Springs, Mo.), middle blocker Bria Dawson (Overland Park, Kan.), outside hitter Aspen Nelsen (Indianola, Iowa), and outside hitter Sammy Klotz (Hoyt, Kan.) are entering their first season of collegiate volleyball.  
 
Series History
  • Drury: Tuesday's match will be the 16th all-time meeting between the Panthers and Central Missouri, with the Jens holding a 15-0 advantage in the series. A season ago, UCM defeated the Panthers by a final score of 3-1 (27-25, 25-18, 19-25, 25-22), during the opening match of the Comfort Inn Invitational on Friday, Sept. 20, from Dr. Peggy Martin Court, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg. 
  • No. 20 Missouri Western: Heading into Friday night's match with the Griffons, Central Missouri holds a 92-8 advantage in the all-time series, including a 45-3 record in Warrensburg. A season ago, Missouri Western won both meetings, including a 3-1 (27-25, 18-25, 26-28, 17-25) victory on Thursday, Nov. 21, in the opening round of the 2024 MIAA Volleyball Championships from the St. Joseph Civic Arena in downtown St. Joseph, Mo.         
  • Northwest Missouri: Saturday will be the 114th all-time meeting between the Bearcats and Central Missouri, with the Jens holding a 101-12 advantage in the series, including a mark of 46-4 in Warrensburg. In their lone meeting in 2024, Northwest Missouri defeated the Jens in straight sets on Saturday, Nov. 9, inside Bearcat Arena in Maryville.   
 
Jens By the Numbers
  • Central Missouri is averaging 17.3 digs, 13.8 kills, 12.7 assists, 2.1 blocks, and 1.6 service aces per set through 22 matches this season. 
  • Libero Grace Winkelmann leads the Jens defensively in the back row with 407 digs, averaging 5.09 digs per set, adding 64 assists and 28 service aces. The Rhineland, Mo. native has collected double-digit digs in 21 matches this season, including a pair of 31-dig performances, with the most recent coming against Pittsburg State (Oct. 10) en route to collecting her 1,700th career dig. The redshirt senior is in sole possession of sixth place in program history for career digs with 1,791. 
  • Middle blocker Kaelyn McDonald's 73 total blocks pace UCM defensively in the front row, adding 249.5 points, 192 kills, and a .301 hitting percentage. McDonald has posted five or more blocks in nine matches, while having nine matches with double-digit kills for good measure. In the winning effort at No. 1 Central Oklahoma, the redshirt junior re-set her career-high mark of 16 kills on 28 swings (.500 hitting percentage), adding six total blocks, including two solo blocks.
  • Wesley Chapel, Fla. native Kayla Baer leads the team with 851 assists, averaging 10.64 assists per set through 22 matches this season. The senior has recorded six double-double performances on the season, including a match-high 47 assists and 11 digs en route to surpassing 1,000 assists at UCM in the 3-1 victory against No. 1 Central Oklahoma (Oct. 4) in Edmond, earning MIAA Setter of the Week honors.
  • Redshirt sophomore Emma Siron leads the team with 263.5 points, while adding a team-high 226 kills, averaging 2.94 kills per set, and 23 service aces for good measure. After being sidelined last season due to injury, the Sedalia, Mo. native has recorded double-digit kills in 10 matches this season, including a season-best 19 on 45 swings (.311 attack percentage) against Findlay (Sept. 13).
  • Senior Rachel Ziesman is second on the team with 72 blocks overall, averaging one block per set while being one of four Jens to appear in 70 or more sets and start 20 matches in 2025. The Shawnee, Kan., native has recorded double-digit kills in nine matches while adding five matches with five or more total blocks.
  • Junior Shaye Koski is second on the team with 208 kills, averaging 2.85 kills per set, while adding 73 digs and 28 blocks on the year. The Parkville, Mo. native has recorded double-digit kills in 13 matches, including a season-best 20 kills against Hillsdale (Sept. 12).
 
UCM in the Postseason
  • The Jens made their 37th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history in 2023 and the first under head coach Caitlin Peterson, as the Jens have a 41-41 overall record, including eight NCAA Regional Championships.
