SCENE SETTER
- University of Central Missouri Mules Football (3-4, 3-2 MIAA) is scheduled to host the Emporia State Hornets (3-4, 2-3 MIAA) in the annual UCM Homecoming Game on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 25, at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field in Warrensburg.

- The Mules are coming off a 37-17 loss at Washburn on Saturday, Oct. 18, in Topeka, Kan. In the game, UCM outgained Washburn, 465-370, but turned the ball over eight times, throwing six interceptions and losing two fumbles.
- Through seven games, Central Missouri leads the MIAA in total offense (475.7 yards per game) and passing offense (322.7 passing yards per game) and ranks second in scoring (32.4 points per game). UCM's 475.7 yards per game ranks fifth in all of NCAA-II for total offense.
- Wide receiver Hogan Wasson ranks fourth in NCAA-II in receptions per game at 7.83 catches per game and receiving yards per game at 102.3 yards while quarterback Donovyn Omolo is fourth in completions per game at 25 and sixth in total offense with 310.3 yards per game.
- The Mules went 9-3 overall and finished tied for third in the MIAA at 6-3 last season in 2024. UCM advanced to the postseason for a second straight season, defeating the University of Texas Permian Basin, 39-37 in double overtime, in the Heritage Bowl Powered by RIOT on December 7 in Corsicana, Texas.
- With Central Missouri's 9-3 record in 2024 and 11-2 mark in 2023, the Mules posted at least 20 wins in two consecutive seasons for just the second time in program history.
- 2025 will be the 129th season in the history of Mules Football. UCM has played football every year since 1895, except for 1918 due to World War I.
- Central Missouri was voted fourth in both the 2025 MIAA Preseason Coaches and Media Polls released in late July by the conference office.

NEW FACES
- Mules Football welcomes 58 new student-athletes to their roster in 2025, including 36 high school freshmen and 22 transfers.
- In addition, UCM has seven new coaches for the 2025 season. New coaches include: Rich Wright (Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Line), Neil Novak (Special Teams Coordinator/Defensive Backs), Vince Mayle (Wide Receivers), Jamal Morrow (Running Backs/Offensive Player Personnel), Dylan Graham (Tight Ends/Offensive Player Personnel), JaQuan Jenkins (Assistant Defensive Secondary) and Billy Musgrave (Assistant Defensive Line).
SERIES HISTORY
- Saturday's game against the Hornets will mark the 70th meeting in the all-time series dating all the way back to 1901. UCM leads the series, 44-21-4. Last season, the Mules posted a 45-36 win over Emporia State in Emporia, Kan.
LAST TIME OUT: TURNOVERS DOOM MULES IN 37-17 LOSS AT WASHBURN
- University of Central Missouri Mules Football couldn't overcome eight turnovers as it fell to the Washburn Ichabods, 37-17, in a MIAA game played Saturday, Oct. 18, at Yager Stadium at Moore Bowl.
- Quarterback Donovyn Omolo went 25-of-32 for 217 yards and one touchdown, while fellow quarterback Mac Harper was 8-of-13 for 52 yards.
- Latravious Boyd tallied 80 rushing yards on 14 carries, Keyon Butler added 60 rushing yards on 10 carries with a touchdown, Jake Weber posted 60 receiving yards on eight catches, and Bo Reeves caught a 13-yard touchdown pass and compiled 19 receiving yards on two catches, leading UCM offensively in the game.
- UCM outgained Washburn, 465 yards to 370 yards, including a 269-231 advantage in passing yards and a 196-139 advantage in rushing yards, but had six interceptions and two lost fumbles for its eight total turnovers in the game.
- Izziek Chandler and Garrett Hormann each had six tackles, and Joe Morrison forced a fumble, pacing Central Missouri defensively.
- Washburn quarterback Logan Madden was 20-of-31 for 231 yards with two touchdowns, leading the Ichabods.

- The Mules are 266-190-13 overall and 2025 is their 93rd season playing home games at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field.
- Under Josh Lamberson, Central Missouri is 15-5 at home.
SCORING STREAK CONTINUES
- Central Missouri has scored in 357 straight games, a MIAA record.
- The streak dates to week three of the 1991 season.
MULES FOOTBALL HISTORY
- In the 129 seasons of UCM Football, the Mules have compiled a 607-542-51 record. Central Missouri has fielded a football team every year since 1895, except for 1918, when World War I occurred.
- The Mules have won 10 or more games six times in the history of the program and have posted 15 seasons of eight or more wins.
- UCM tied the program record for wins in a season with 11 in 2023. The Mules also won 11 games in 2019 and 2010.
- UCM has won or shared 14 MIAA championships in school history with the last coming in 2023.
- The Mules have qualified for the postseason 13 times in their history, including five trips to the NCAA-II Playoffs, the last coming in 2023.
MULES IN THE PROS
- Former Mules' Football All-Americans Zach Zebrowski (QB) and Arkell Smith (WR) are currently playing for the Edmonton Elks in the Canadian Football League (CFL).
- Former Central Missouri defensive lineman David Olajiga (2021-2023) is currently on the New England Patriots' practice squad roster.
- Former Mules' All-American tight end Zach Davidson (2016-2020) was selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.
- He marked the 12th Mules football player to be drafted in program history and the first since former UCM standout tight end Delanie Walker in 2006.
- In program history, 81 Central Missouri football players have either been drafted or signed professional free-agent contracts.
