WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The No. 13 Central Missouri Jennies golf team captured its second-straight tournament title Tuesday, Oct. 14, winning the Midwest Classic at Mules National Golf Club.
UCM finished with a three-round team score of 871 (289, 287, 295) to go 31-over par. Arkansas Tech placed second at 880 (293, 291, 296) for 40-over, followed by MIAA foe Rogers State in third at 888 (295, 299, 294), 48-over.
Senior
Mia Rallo led the Jennies with a runner-up finish, going 3-under par with a 207 (70, 70, 67). Arkansas Tech's Ellen Spigner claimed medalist honors with a 205 (-5), while Washburn's Susana Granados Carrion finished third at 213 (-3).
Freshman
Ansley Giesselmann placed fourth with a 214 (68, 71, 75), finishing 4-over. Senior
Kiki Bruner tied for ninth at 220 (75, 70, 75), 10-over. Sophomore
Madolyn Kost tied for 35th with a 230 (76, 76, 78), 20-over, while freshman Addison Davis rounded out the lineup tied for 45th with a 234 (76, 77, 81), 24-over.
Competing individually, senior
Libby Green tied for 19th at 224 (73, 76, 75), 14-over. Sophomore
Reece Nimmo tied for 47th at 235 (76, 80, 79), 25-over, while freshman
Hannah Mottert tied for 55th at 238 (79, 77, 82), 28-over. Freshman
Olivia Thetford closed in 85th with a 267 (95, 86, 86), 57-over.
The Jennies conclude their fall schedule Oct. 27-28 at The Tulsa Cup, hosted by Rogers State at The Club at Forest Ridge in Broken Arrow, Okla.
