MARYVILLE, Mo. – Central Missouri Jennies basketball fell to the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats, 75-57, inside Bearcat Arena Saturday afternoon, Jan. 25.
The Jennies (12-9, 4-6 MIAA) are scheduled to host Nebraska Kearney Thursday, Jan. 30, at 5:30 p.m. in Warrensburg.
Reese Schaaf tallied 20 points on 7-of-17 shooting from the field and a 6-of-6 performance at the free-throw line and had five rebounds while
Taylor Weishaar chipped in 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor and a 3-of-4 showing at the foul line, leading Central Missouri.
Northwest Missouri State (10-10, 3-7 MIAA) outscored UCM in the second-half, 38-21, to turn a one-point halftime lead into a 17-point victory.
For the game, the Jennies shot 43 percent (23-of-53) from the field and 90 percent at the free-throw line (9-of-10). The Bearcats outrebounded Central Missouri, 28-24, and outscored UCM in the paint, 42-36, and off turnovers, 12-5.
Molly Hartnett tallied a game-high 22 points on 11-for-18 shooting from the field and a 4-of-4 mark at the free-throw line, pacing the Bearcats.
