PITTSBURG, Kan. – University of Central Missouri track & field tallied four All-American performances, including a pair of national runner-up finishes, on the final day of the 2024 NCAA-II Indoor Championships Saturday, March 9, at the Robert W. Plaster Center on the Pittsburg State University campus.
Multi-Events/Jumps
- Kayla Goodwin earned her ninth and 10th-career All-American honors after finishing as the national runner-up in the women's indoor pentathlon and eighth in the women's triple jump. In the indoor pentathlon, Goodwin compiled a season-best 3,950 points, finishing second in both the long jump (5.66m/18-7) and 800m run (2:17.74), fourth in the high jump (11.20m/5-5), and seventh in both the 60m hurdles (8.83) and shot put (11.20m/36-9). In the triple jump, Goodwin posted a mark of 12.48m (40-11.5) on her second attempt to secure eighth place and All-American accolades.
Hurdles
- Parker Wormek ran 7.80 to finish as the national runner-up in the men's 60m hurdles for his first-career All-American honor.
Jumps
- Evans Yamoah placed third in the men's high jump for his second-career All-American honor, clearing a season-best mark of 2.19m (7-2.25) on his third attempt.
