Littrell Reaches 2,000 Career Points and Jennies Down Northeastern State on Senior Day, 81-65

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Brooke Littrell became just the third player in Central Missouri Women's Basketball history to score at least 2,000 career points as the Jennies took down the Northeastern State RiverHawks, 81-65, on Senior Day Saturday, March 2, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.

The Jennies (21-7, 15-7 MIAA) will be the number six seed in the 2024 MIAA Women's Basketball Championship and will face No. 3 seed Fort Hays State in a quarterfinal contest Friday, March 8, at 2:15 p.m. inside historic Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City, Mo.

Littrell, a redshirt sophomore from Green City, Mo., eclipsed 2,000 career points on a layup with 1:12 to go in the first quarter. She joins Jenny greats Carla Eades (2,098 points from 1980-84) and Tammy Wilson (2,104 points from 1985-89) in the 2,000-career point club.

For the game, Littrell compiled 27 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 showing at the free-throw line to up her career total to 2,019 points in 114 career games. Graycen Holden added a season-high 18 points and snagged 13 rebounds for her second double-double of the season, Ashley Tull had 10 points, and Olivia Nelson dished out a game-best seven assists, rounding out the UCM leaders.

The Jennies shot 50 percent from the field (32-of-64), 35 percent from three-point range (6-of-17) and were 11-of-13 at the free-throw line for 85 percent. Central Missouri outrebounded Northeastern State, 41-24, and outscored the RiverHawks in the paint, 42-28.
