WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Four players scored in double figures as Central Missouri Jennies basketball defeated the Rogers State Hillcats, 83-71, in a MIAA game Thursday, Feb. 29, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.
The Jennies (20-7, 14-7 MIAA) are scheduled to wrap up the regular season with a 1 p.m. MIAA contest vs. Northeastern State Saturday, March 2, in Warrensburg.
Brooke Littrell led all scorers with 27 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field, including a 2-of-3 performance from three-point range, and a perfect 9-of-9 showing at the free-throw line, and snagged a team-high nine rebounds to lead UCM.
Olivia Nelson added 15 points and a team-best six assists,
Lauren Frost had 14 points, and
Ashley Tull chipped in 13 points.
Central Missouri was 29-of-61 (48 percent) from the field, 5-of-13 from three-point range (39 percent) and 20-of-24 at the free-throw line (83 percent) in the game. UCM outrebounded Rogers State (10-17, 5-16 MIAA), 39-27, and outscored the Hillcats in the paint, 40-22.
Alayzha Knapp had 24 points, leading Rogers State.
