EMPORIA, Kan. – University of Central Missouri Jennies basketball fell to the Emporia State Lady Hornets, 76-63, Wednesday, February 21, inside William L. White Auditorium.
The Jennies (18-7, 12-7 MIAA) are scheduled to travel to Washburn for a MIAA game Saturday, Feb. 24, at 1 p.m. at Lee Arena in Topeka, Kan.
Brooke Littrell posted her 11th double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds while
Olivia Nelson compiled 20 points and
Graycen Holden pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds, pacing Central Missouri in the game.
The Jennies shot just 38 percent from the field, going 23-of-61, and were only 21 percent from three-point range (5-of-24). UCM went 12-of-19 at the free-throw line for 63 percent. Central Missouri outrebounded Emporia State, 39-34, but the Lady Hornets made nine three-pointers in the game and outscored UCM off turnovers, 15-6.
Katie Horyna had 20 points, leading Emporia State (12-13, 9-10 MIAA).
