EMPORIA, Kan. – The Central Missouri Mules (11-14, 6-13) fell to the Emporia State Tigers (17-10, 10-9) by a final score of 75-51 on Wednesday evening inside White Auditorium in Emporia.
The Hornets led by three at the break and never relinquished, picking up their 17
th win of the season led by guard Alijah Comithier's game-high 21 points adding three rebounds, and two assists.
Central Missouri was paced offensively by junior
Jalen Knott who ended the contest with 18 points, going 5-of-7 from beyond the arc with five rebounds while redshirt senior
Keith Kiner III had 14 points and three rebounds for good measure.
Guards
Jordan Hayes (seven points and a team-high seven rebounds) and
Caleb Nero (three points and two rebounds) dished out two assists each, plus junior
Jack Chapman added four points and two boards.
Central Missouri returns to the court on Saturday, Feb. 24, as they continue MIAA play as they take on the Washburn Ichabods (15-9, 11-7) at 3:00 p.m. inside Lee Arena in Topeka, Kan.
