KEARNEY, Neb. -- University of Central Missouri Jennies basketball fell to the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers, 70-53, Saturday afternoon, Dec. 7, inside the Health & Sports Center.
The Jennies (7-5, 0-2 MIAA) are scheduled to host the Lincoln Blue Tigers, for a 1 p.m. non-conference matchup inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center Saturday, Dec. 21.
Reese Schaaf netted 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the field and a 3-of-4 showing at the free-throw line and pulled down six rebounds,
Taylor Weishaar added 13 points and six rebounds, and
Lauren Frost contributed 12 points, five rebounds, and four assists leading UCM.
The Jennies shot 38 percent from the field (18-of-47) and were only 4-of-16 from three-point range for 25 percent in the contest.
Nebraska-Kearney (8-2, 2-0 MIAA) controlled the glass, outrebounding Central Missouri, 42-30, and outscored UCM in the paint, 34-22.
Bailee Sobczak tallied 15 points and nine rebounds pacing Nebraska-Kearney.
