PITTSBURG, Kan. – The University of Central Missouri Mules & Jennies track & field teams officially opened their 2024-15 indoor season at the Pittsburg State Crimson & Gold Invitational Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Robert W. Plaster Center. The meet also marked the first event for new UCM Track & Field Head Coach
Kevin Paterson.
Sprints/Hurdles
- Jentry Acklin ran a NCAA-II provisional mark of 8.07 to finish eighth in the men's 60m hurdles.
- Emily Meeks posted a personal-best time of 57.33 to finish eighth in the women's 400m dash. Her time ranks 10th fastest in indoor school history. Brooklynn Holman also compiled a top 10 finish in the event, placing ninth with a time of 57.35.
- Isaak Rasche tallied a top 10 finish in the men's 600-yard run, posting a time of 1:12.93 to place seventh.
- Three Jennies compiled top 15 performances in the women's 600-yard run. Freshman Courtney Knutson placed 11th with a personal-best time of 1:33.10, Karoline Kolie was 12th with a time of 1:33.44, and Ella Jett was 15th with a time of 1:35.38.
- Rawley Chard clocked a time of 21.76 to place fourth in the men's 200m dash.
- Two Jennies finished in the top 15 of the women's 200m dash. Freshman Mellanie Nellmer ran a personal-best 25.61 to place 13th while Kylee Terry compiled a personal-best 25.64 to finish 15th.
Jumps
- Myah Morris placed fifth in the women's triple jump with a personal-best mark of 11.65m (38-02.75).Â
- Reagan Ulrich finished sixth in the men's pole vault with a mark of 4.87m (16-0).
- The Mules had three top 10 performances in the men's high jump. Zach Proctor cleared a provisional and personal-best height of 2.06m (6-09.00) to place fourth, Wyatt Irwin was sixth with a personal-best clearance of 1.95m (6-04.75), and Justin Hamrick finished ninth with a mark of 1.90m (6-02.75).
- Therese Reindl finished tied for ninth in the women's high jump open division with a mark of 1.55m (5-1.00).
Distance
- Evan Finger ran 4:18.71, finishing 12th in the men's one-mile run.
Relays
Several Mules and Jennies multi-event student-athletes are set to compete in the Happy Holidays Multi-Event Meet Sunday and Monday, Dec. 8-9, in Crete, Neb.
