HAYS, Kan. -- University of Central Missouri Jennies basketball fell to the No. 7-ranked Fort Hays State Tigers, 74-44, in its 2024-25 MIAA conference-game Thursday evening, Dec. 5, inside Gross Memorial Coliseum.
The Jennies (7-4, 0-1 MIAA) are scheduled to travel to Kearney, Neb., for a 2 p.m. MIAA contest at Nebraska Kearney Saturday, Dec. 7.
Reese Schaaf netted 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field and a 6-of-6 showing at the free-throw line and pulled down eight rebounds,
Lauren Frost had seven points and five assists, and
Taylor Weishaar added four points and three blocks, leading UCM.
The Jennies shot just 33 percent from the field (17-of-51) and were only 2-of-14 from three-point range for 14 percent in the contest.
Fort Hays State (8-0, 1-0 MIAA) controlled the glass, outrebounding Central Missouri, 46-27, and outscored UCM in the paint, 40-20.
Talexa Weeter tallied 21 points while Oliva Hollenbeck had 14 rebounds and 13 points, pacing Fort Hays State.
