Jennies Basketball Takes Down Maryville Thursday, 70-56

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Reese Schaaf netted her third straight double-double leading Central Missouri Jennies basketball to a 70-56 win over the Maryville Saints Thursday, Nov. 21, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.

The Jennies (5-2) are scheduled to host Avila (0-8) in a non-conference contest Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 6 p.m. in Warrensburg.

Schaaf, a junior from El Dorado Springs, Mo., went 9-of-10 from the field and 6-of-7 at the free-throw line for her game-high 24 points and pulled down 11 boards for her team-best fifth double-double 2024-25. Lauren Frost added 16 points on 6-of-14 shooting, including a 3-for-5 performance from three-point range, and dished out four assists, and Allie Clevenger also reached double-figure points with 15 points. Taylor Weishaar added 13 rebounds.

UCM outscored Maryville (1-4) in the fourth quarter, 21-11, to turn a four-point third quarter advantage into a 10-point victory.

For the game, Central Missouri shot 43 percent (26-of-60) from the floor, 39 percent from three-point range (7-of-18) and were 85 percent at the free-throw line (11-of-13). UCM outrebounded Maryville, 41-36, and outscored the Saints in the paint, 28-26, and off turnovers, 18-10.

Claire Rake had 17 points to pace Maryville.
