TIP OFF 
  • Central Missouri Mules basketball continues the 2024-25 season on Thursday, Nov. 21, as they host the Quincy Hawks at 7:30 p.m. from the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg. 
  • Thursday night's game against the Hawks is our annual Greek Night, the chapter with the highest attendance at the game will receive a free pizza party courtesy of UCM Athletics.  
  • The Mules defeated the Maryville Saints by a final score of 67-55 on Wednesday, Nov. 13, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg led by forward Tim Jordan Jr.'s 19 points and three rebounds while freshman Jake Fritz had 12 points and four rebounds.
  • This is the 119th season of Central Missouri Basketball as the Mules are the third winningest program in Division II with 1,765 victories having won two NCAA Men's National Championships (1984 & 2014) and four National Championships (1937 & 1938 NAIB) overall.

 MEET THE MULES
  • Adam Bohac enters his second season as head coach of the Mules after finishing last season with a 13-15 overall record including 8-14 in the MIAA highlighted by two All-Conference performers in Tim Jordan Jr. (Honorable Mention) and Jordan Hayes (All Defensive Team).
  • The Mules are coming into the 2024-25 campaign with seven of their 14 student-athletes having never stepped on the court for UCM.
  • Central Missouri returns six players from last year's team including guard Corey Skillman Jr. while returning forwards Tim Jordan Jr., Jack Chapman, Yafet Haile, Noah Martin, and Josh Nwankwo
  • The Mules brought in Division I transfer KJ Lee (Western Illinois), plus, Division II additions in DeAirius Barker (Charleston), Eain Mowat (Southern Nazarene), and Elijah Farr (Lincoln).
  • Central Missouri added three freshmen in guards Kyran Tilley (Louisville, Ky.) and Jake Fritz (Overland Park, Kan.), plus, forward Kyree Polk (Denver, Colo.).
 
LAST TIME OUT 
  • The Central Missouri Mules (2-1, 0-0 MIAA) defeated the Maryville Saints (0-3, 0-0 GLVC) by a final score of 67-55 on Wednesday, Nov. 13, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.
  • The Mules jumped out to a 12-point advantage midway through the opening half thanks to a triple from sophomore Tim Jordan Jr. (game-high 19 points and three rebounds) off an assist from guard DeAirius Barker (seven points, five rebounds, and four assists).
  • Central Missouri led by 10 at the break as freshman guards Kyran Tilley (10 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals) and Jake Fritz (12 points, four rebounds, and two steals) led the Mules with eight points each.
  • The Saints answered in the second half cutting the deficit to as little as four but were unable to complete the comeback as UCM extended their lead to 19 with just over three minutes remaining earning their second victory on the year.
  • The Mules outscored Maryville in numerous categories including points in the paint (34-26), off second-chance (13-10), and bench points (21-20) as junior Jack Chapman ended the game with nine points, seven boards, and one steal.
  • Guard KJ Lee contributed eight points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two blocks while Kansas City, Mo. native Elijah Farr grabbed a game-high nine rebounds, two points, and two steals in the winning effort. 
 
UCM BY THE NUMBERS 
  • Through three games this season, the Mules are averaging 71.5 points per game while shooting 46 percent from the field, including 35 percent from beyond the arc and 69 percent from the charity stripe.
  • Central Missouri is averaging 32 rebounds, 11.5 assists, seven steals, and four blocks per contest so far this season.
  • The Mules feature three players averaging 10 points or more per game this season including forward Tim Jordan Jr. (16.5 points and two rebounds), senior DeAirius Barker (13 points and 3.5 assists), and guard KJ Lee (10.5 points and six rebounds).
 
SERIES HISTORY VS QUINCY
  • Thursday night's contest will be the 18th meeting all-time between the Hawks and UCM dating back to the 1948-49 season with the Mules leading the series 12-5 following a 90-84 overtime victory in November of 2014 from the Sprint Center in downtown Kansas City, Mo.
  • Central Missouri's Rakeem Dickerson scored a career-high 41 points while Kyle Wolf added 17 points and forward Dillon Deck (12 points and 12 rebounds) had a double-double performance.

  • Central Missouri continues non-conference play on Tuesday, Nov. 26, as they take on the Illinois-Springfield Prairie Stars (2-1, 0-0 GLVC) in the opening game of the DoubleTree Thanksgiving Classic from O'Reilly Event Center in Springfield, Mo.
