KEARNEY, Neb. – Ashleigh Martin netted a hat-trick as No. 7-ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer rolled past the Nebraska Kearney Lopers, 7-1, Sunday afternoon, Oct. 6, at Ron & Carol Cope Stadium at Foster Field.
The Jennies (7-2-1, 4-0 MIAA) are scheduled to travel to Maryville, Mo., for a 3 p.m. MIAA match Friday, Oct. 11, at Northwest Missouri State.
Martin, a senior from St. Charles, Mo., posted the 21st hat-trick in Jennies soccer history after scoring goals in the second, 13th and 89th minutes. The three goals raised her season total to a team-best six.
Izzy Joyce added a pair of goals in the second and 69th minutes, upping her 2024 tally to four, while
Ava Lunders (68th-minute) and
Rylie Hughes (73rd-minute) each scored their first goal of the season, rounding out the UCM scoring.

Caroline Cole all added assists in the victory.
Central Missouri goalkeeper
Kristen Wright (7-2-1) earned the win after allowing no goals while making six saves in just under 75 minutes between the posts.
For the match, UCM outshot Nebraska Kearney (4-2-4, 0-2-2 MIAA), 14-11, including a 10-8 advantage in shots on goal, and bested the Lopers in corner kicks, 14-1.
UNK's Hanna Schimmer netted a penalty-kick goal and tallied two shots on goal, leading Nebraska Kearney offensively.
Loper goalkeeper Susie Bovaird (4-2-4) suffered the setback between the posts, giving up seven goals while tallying three saves in 90 minutes.
