WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Central Missouri Mules Wrestling split their Senior Night Tridual against Ouachita Baptist and Fort Hays State Sunday, Jan. 28. The Mules dominated Ouachita Baptist in a 43-0 shut out before dropping 32-16 against Fort Hays. 

First, against Ouachita Baptist, Jacob Tangpricha pinned Justin Shaw 12 seconds into the second period to give the Mules six at 125-pounds.

At 133-pounds, James Wright followed suit pinning Ouachita's Hayden Flaherty in 16 seconds, giving the Mules another quick six points. 

Cayden Dotson won a 7-3 decision over Hudson Herring, adding 3 points to the team score at 141-pounds.

149-pounds Garrett Lyons also had a bonus point victory, earning a 16-6 major decision over Ouachita's Caleb Andrews and increasing the Mule's lead by four.

Another six points came from Anthony Erickson and John Ridle. Erickson won a 9-6 decision over Jaylon Otero at 157-pounds while Ridle championed a 9-3 decision against Samuel Schmidt.

At 174-pounds, Nolan Saale pinned William Wilson 1:47 into the first period to give the Mules six more.

Damon Ashworth, at 184-pounds, forced a shut out techfall (17-0) in the third period against Parker Henry, tallying five more points for the Mules. 

197-pound Brayden Dillow earned a 13-5 major decision against Brooks Schrimsher, putting the Mules at 40-0.

To win the final match and complete the shutout, heavy weight Trent Strong forced an overtime takedown to defeat Don Paul 4-1. 

Against Fort Hays State, Garrett Lyons won a 4-3 decision over Marcell Dely at 149-pounds, giving the Mules their first three points.

Then, at 157-pounds Anthony Erickson added five more with a 18-2 techfall over Hunter Harris in the third period.

165-pounds John Ridle followed witha 12-3 major decision over Hays' Cody Hicks, tallying four more team points.

Damon Ashworth was the final Mules victory and last four points against Fort Hays, winning a 12-1 major decision against Matthew Rodriguez at 184-pounds. 

Up next, the Mules head to Edmond, Okla. Sunday, Feb. 4 to take on the Bronchos of Central Oklahoma.
