JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Central Missouri track & field teams wrapped up competition at the MIAA Outdoor Championships Sunday, May 7, at Dwight T. Reed Stadium on the Lincoln University campus.
In the final team standings, the Mules finished fourth with 83 points while the Jennies placed sixth with 82.50 points. Pittsburg State captured the men's championship with 184.50 points while Northwest Missouri State won the women's title, compiling 137 points.
UCM capped the three-day meet with one conference champion and 10 top-three finishes.
Central Missouri's lone conference champion occurred Saturday, May 6, when
Rachael Molloy won the women's hammer throw.
Sprints/Hurdles
- Brian Mitei finished runner-up in the men's 800m run with a time of 1:52.13.
- Claire Luallen placed fourth in the women' 100m hurdles, running a personal-best and provisional time of 13.99. Her time is fifth-fastest in school history.
- Cameron Hesker placed fourth in the men's 200m dash, posting a provisional and personal-best time of 21.08. His time ties for fifth-fastest in school history.
- Jana Shawver ran 2:12.91, finishing fourth in the women's 800m run.
Jumps
- Kayla Goodwin placed second in the women's triple jump with a provisional mark of 12.54m (41-1.75).
- Evans Yamoah finished third in the men's high jump, clearing a provisional and outdoor personal-best height of 2.18m (7-1.75). His mark ranks third-best in school history.
Throws
- Addison Snowball placed fourth in the men's discus, recording a provisional mark of 51.78m (169-11).
Relays
The Mules and Jennies are scheduled to return to action Friday, May 12, at the Concordia Last Chance Meet in Seward, Neb.
