Ulrich Sets Pole Vault School Record at Loper Twilight Saturday

KEARNEY, Neb. – Reagan Ulrich set a new school record in the pole vault and was one of several highlights for Central Missouri track & field at the Loper Twilight Saturday, May 13.

Pole Vault
  • A redshirt junior from Reeds Spring, Mo., Ulrich cleared a provisional and personal-best height of 5.51m (18-1.00), winning the men's pole vault and setting a new school record. The previous record was set back in 1997 by Andrei Skvortsov (18-0.5). In addition, his mark ties for seventh-best in NCAA Division II history.
  • Jack Hodge finished second in the men's pole vault, clearing a provisional mark of 5.20m (17-0.75).
  • Madi Wulfekotter cleared a provisional height of 4.07m (13-4.25) to win the women's pole vault.
Jumps
  • The Jennies went 1-2 in the women's long jump. Kayla Goodwin finished first with a personal-best and provisional mark of 6.03m (19-9.50) while Claire Luallen was second with a personal-best and provisional 6.02m (19-9.00). Goodwin's mark ties for third-best in school history while Luallen's is fifth best.
  • The Jennies finished first and second in the women's triple jump. Maggie Klover jumped a personal-best and provisional 12.23m (40-1.50) to place first while Camryn Holloman was second at 10.82m (35-6.00). Klover's mark ranks sixth-best in school history.
Sprints/Hurdles
  • The Jennies went 1-2 in the women's 800m run. Jana Shawver won the event with a provisional time of 2:11.39 while Katie Bean was second with a provisional and personal-best 2:11.59 – eight-fastest in school history.
  • Brian Mitei won the men's 800m run, clocking a provisional time of 1:51.03.
  • Brayden Blackman finished first in the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 53.81.
  • Claire Luallan ran a provisional 14.04 to place first in the women's 100m hurdles.
  • Paul Korir finished runner-up in the men's 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 9:12.50.
  • Cameron Hesker ran a provisional and personal-best time of 10.44, finishing third in the men's 100m dash. His time is fifth-fastest in school history.
  • Brooklynn Holtman placed third in the women's 200m dash, clocking a personal-best 12.04.
Relays Throws
  • Rachael Molloy finished third in the women's hammer with a provisional throw of 59.28m (194-06.00).
UCM track & field will compete in the NCAA-II Outdoor Championships May 25-27 in Pueblo, Colo.
