WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Drury Panthers used 17 hits to score 11 runs and defeat No. 4-ranked Central Missouri Mules baseball, 11-5, in a midweek game played at Crane Stadium/Tompkins Field Wednesday, April 19.
The Mules (30-12, 21-6 MIAA) are scheduled to host Central Oklahoma (29-13, 16-11 MIAA) in a three-game MIAA series beginning with the series opener at 3 p.m. Friday, April 21, in Warrensburg.
Mason Lowe went 3-for-4 with two doubles while
Vance Tobol and
Carter Young each tallied two hits, leading UCM at the plate.
Central Missouri left-handed starting pitcher
Cole Schroeder (0-1) suffered the loss on the mound after allowing one earned run on one hit with one walk while failing to record an out.
Cooper Munro went 3-for-4 with a double and triple, Kellen Williamson was 3-for-5 with a double and triple, and Brooks Sunny and Luke Burk each homered, leading Drury (26-16) offensively.
Panther starting pitcher Cade Waits (5-4) earned the win on the rubber, allowing three earned runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and one walk in six innings of work.
