KEARNEY, Neb. – Brooke Littrell posted a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds but it wasn't enough as the No. 10-ranked Central Missouri Jennies basketball team fell to the No. 11-ranked Nebraska Kearney Lopers, 60-57, inside the Health and Sports Central Thursday, Feb. 9.
The Jennies (18-3, 14-3 MIAA) are scheduled to travel to Fort Hays State (19-7, 14-4 MIAA) for a conference contest Saturday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m.
Littrell went 7-of-19 from the floor and a perfect 8-for-8 at the free-throw line for her game-best 22 points to go along with her 11 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season.
Olivia Nelson also reached double figures for UCM, netting 11 points and dishing out four assists, while
Lauren Frost dished out a team-best five assists.
Central Missouri shots 40 percent from the floor, going 23-of-57, but were just 2-of-11 from three-point range for 18 percent. The Lopers (23-3, 16-2 MIAA) were 21-of-57 from the field for 37 percent but made nine three pointers in 19 attempts for 47 percent.
UCM outrebounded Nebraska Kearney, 39-31, and outscored UNK in the paint, 38-22, but committed 18 turnovers compared to just 13 for the Lopers.
Meg Burns tallied 16 points, leading Nebraska Kearney.
