WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Brooke Littrell scored 25 points and
Olivia Nelson added 15 points as the No. 12-ranked Central Missouri Jennies basketball team demolished the Washburn Ichabods, 78-54, on Senior Day and Hall of Fame Day Saturday, Feb. 18, inside the UCM Multipurpose Building.
The Jennies (21-3, 17-3 MIAA) are scheduled to travel to Claremore, Okla., for a MIAA road game at Rogers State (4-22, 2-18 MIAA) Thursday, Feb. 23.
A redshirt sophomore from Green City, Mo., Littrell went 10-of-14 from the floor, including a perfect 3-of-3 from three-point range, and was 2-of-2 at the free-throw line for her game-high 25 points while Nelson was 5-of-10 from the floor, 2-of-4 from beyond-the-arc and 3-for-3 at the foul line for her 15 points.
Ashley Tull also reached double figures for the Jennies with 10 points, and
Robin Campbell pulled down a career and game-high nine rebounds.
Central Missouri never trailed in the game.
UCM shot 51 percent from the field, going 29-of-57, and were 7-for-18 from three-point range for 39 percent. The Jennies converted 13 out of 15 free-throws for 87 percent and controlled the glass, outrebounding the Ichabods (11-15, 7-13 MIAA), 31-25.
Central Missouri outscored Washburn off turnovers in the game, 23-11.
Gabi Artis netted 14 points, pacing the Ichabods.Â
