SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Central Missouri Mules Wrestling placed 11 individuals at the Drury Open Saturday, Dec. 2.
Trent Strong and
Tommy Frezza led the Mules, winning both of their brackets.
Frezza, the Redshirt Junior, dominated his way through the 133-pound bracket going 4-0 with four bonus point victories, winning the title. In the same bracket, Redshirt Freshman
Landen Davis claimed third place with four victories by fall.
At 141-pounds, Redshirt Freshman
Jack Lage earned runner-up honors, going 3-1 on the day. Two of the three wins came by fall. Additionally, Redshirt Sophomore
Kaden Stanley finished fourth in the same bracket with a record of 3-2.

Conner Johnston bonused his way to the 157-pound finals before losing by decision (5-1), claiming second place.
Redshirt Junior
John Ridle also claimed runner-up honors at 165-pounds. Ridle went 4-1, three of those victories coming from techfall or pin. In the same bracket, Redshirt Sophomore
Anthony Erickson bonused his way to the semi-finals before dropping an 8-3 decision. Finishing strong, Erickson won his last two matches to claim third place going 5-1 overall.
At 174-pounds, Redshirt Sophomore
Elijah Lewis started the day 2-0 before dropping in the semi-finals, but went on to finish fifth.

Damon Ashworth dropped his first match, but finished the day undefeated to win the 184-pound consolation bracket.
At 197-pounds, Redshirt Sophomore
Dorian Walters claimed fifth place with a record of 3-1.

Trent Strong emerged victorious in the heavy weight bracket going 5-0 on the day.
