EDMOND, Okla. – No. 3-ranked Central Missouri Jennies basketball tallied a 63-47 win over the Central Oklahoma Bronchos in the 2023-24 MIAA opener for both teams Thursday, Nov. 30, inside Hamilton Field House.
The Jennies (6-0, 1-0 MIAA) are scheduled to continue MIAA action Saturday, Dec. 2, at Newman at 1:30 p.m. in Wichita, Kan.
Allie Clevenger paced Central Missouri offensively in the game with 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor, including a 3-of-5 performance from three-point range, and a 2-for-2 showing at the free-throw line, while
Brooke Littrell posted her fifth consecutive double-double of the season with 10 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
Graycen Holden (12 points) and
Ashley Tull (11 points) also netted double-figure points for UCM, with Tull adding a game-best four blocks.
The Jennies shot just 39 percent from the field for the game, going 20-of-51, and were only 30 percent from three-point range (6-of-20) but made 17 out of 22 free-throws for 77 percent. Central Missouri posted a 42-34 advantage in rebounding and outscored the Bronchos in the paint, 26-24.
Alena Wilson (12 points) and LaKysia Johnson (11 points) led Central Oklahoma (1-6, 0-1 MIAA) in the contest.
