WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Central Missouri Mules (4-0, 0-0) defeated the Park Pirates (4-3, 0-0) by a final score of 72-60 on Saturday, Nov. 25, inside the Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg.
The Mules trailed by as many as six midway through the first half but took a nine-point lead into the break led by
Caleb Nero's 12 points. The redshirt senior from Tulsa, Okla. finished the contest with a game-high 22 points adding two rebounds and two assists.
UCM had two players record double-double performances in redshirt senior
Keith Kiner III (career-high 16 points, career-high 10 rebounds, career-high four assists, and career-high four blocks) and forward
Tim Jordan Jr. (career-high 15 points, career-high 10 rebounds, and career-high three assists) in the winning effort.
Guard
KJ Vasser had 11 of the Mules' 15 bench points, connecting three times from beyond the arc in four attempts while junior
Jalen Knott (five rebounds, four assists, and two steals) and forward
Jack Chapman (career-high two blocks and two rebounds) had four points each.
The Mules return to the court on Thursday, Nov. 30, as they begin MIAA play against No. 3 Central Oklahoma with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m. from Hamilton Field House in Edmond, Okla.
