MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Brooke Littrell netted a season-high 31 points and snagged 10 rebounds for a double-double as the No. 5-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies basketball team coasted past the Barry University Buccaneers, 94-67, in the opening game of the Barry University Classic at the Health & Sports Center Friday, Nov. 24.
The Jennies (4-0) are scheduled to face Lynn in their second and final game in the Barry University Classic Saturday, Nov. 25, at noon CT in Miami Shores.
Littrell shot 10-of-15 from the floor, 1-of-2 from three-point range and was a perfect 10-for-10 at the free-throw line for her game-high 31 points to go along with her 10 boards. It's the third double-double of the season for Littrell.
Olivia Nelson (16 points),
Ashley Tull (14 points) and
Graycen Holden (11 points) also reached double-figure scoring for Central Missouri, with Nelson dishing out a team-best five assists, as well.
For the game, UCM shot 53 percent from the field (34-of-64) and were 68 percent at the free-throw line (23-of-34). The Jennies outrebounded the Buccaneers (2-2), 38-34, and posted a commanding 54-22 advantage in points in the paint and 25-8 edge in points off turnovers.
Audrey Jennings netted 13 points, pacing Barry in the contest.
