- No. 7-ranked Central Missouri Jennies basketball (11-0, 7-0 MIAA) is scheduled to travel to Topeka, Kan., for a MIAA contest against the Washburn Ichabods (6-5, 2-3 MIAA) Thursday, Jan. 5, at 5:30 p.m. inside Lee Arena before trekking to Emporia, Kan., for a 1:30 p.m. conference tussle at Emporia State (9-4, 4-3 MIAA) Saturday, Jan. 7, inside White Auditorium.
- Central Missouri is coming off a 55-50 victory over No. 22-ranked Nebraska Kearney Monday, Jan. 2, in Warrensburg.
- Through 11 games, the Jennies are paced by redshirt sophomores Brooke Littrell (19.5 ppg., 10.0 rpg., .530 FG%, .371 3FG%, .804 FT%, 23 A, 13 Blk, 18 Stl), Olivia Nelson (14.0 ppg., 2.7 rpg., .560 FG%, .360 3FG%, .852 FT%, 44 A, 15 Stl) and Lauren Frost (8.9 ppg., 4.7 rpg., .388 FG%, 44 A, 15 Stl), and junior Ashley Tull (9.0 ppg., 7.0 rpg., .475 FG%, 14 Blk, 9 Stl).

- Central Missouri Jennies basketball outscored the Emporia State University Lady Hornets 28-8 in the first quarter and never looked back, never trailing in an 83-49 rout of the Lady Hornets in an MIAA game Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, inside the UCM Multipurpose Building.
- The 34-point margin of victory was the largest for Central Missouri against Emporia State since a 36-point win in 1984.
- Brooke Littrell posted her eighth double-double of the season with a game-high 22 points to go along with 11 rebounds while Charley Bovaird tied her career-high with 18 points on six three-pointers and Kade Hackerott scored a career-best 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting, pacing UCM offensively.
- Olivia Nelson dished out a career-high eight assists, and Nija Collier snagged a game-best 12 rebounds.
- Including the 28-point first-quarter offensive blitz, the Jennies outscored the Lady Hornet in three of the four quarters in the contest.
- UCM shot 48 percent from the field (30-for-62) and 36 percent from three-point range (11-for-31) and went 12-of-16 at the free-throw line (75 percent) for the game.
- Central Missouri outrebounded Emporia State, 47-30, and outscored ESU in the paint, 32-16, off turnovers, 15-7, and second chance points, 17-1.
- The Jennies limited the Lady Hornets to just 26 percent shooting from the floor and 15 percent from beyond-the-arc in the contest.
Individual Milestones
- Brooke Littrell became the 30th student-athlete in UCM Women's Basketball history to score at least 1,000 career points after converting a three-pointer with 6:32 to go in the first quarter in the Jennies' win over Newman Dec. 3.
- Olivia Nelson is 95 points shy of 1,000 for her Central Missouri career. Going into Thursday's game, she sits at 905 career points.

- UCM is ranked No. 7 in the most recent WBCA Division II Coaches' Poll and second in the latest D2SIDA Division II Media Poll.
- Central Missouri was picked third in the 2022-23 MIAA Preseason Media Poll and fifth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll. UCM received three first-place votes and 218 points in the media poll and 127 points in the coaches' poll.
